Last fall, TechSoup Global contracted with George Perlov Consulting to conduct 15 in-depth interviews with NGO representatives from around the world to discuss their attitudes, beliefs, and practices regarding cloud computing. The interviewees came from a diverse mix of countries and organizations, representing social service, civil society, environmental, and other types of NGOs. The purpose of this research was to understand their interest in and barriers to adopting cloud computing technology, and to help plan for the upcoming TSG survey on this topic. Prior to the discussion of cloud computing, some general questions about IT issues were asked.
